Richard Ranta

Design Assistant

B.En.D.

Richard is an optimistic and perceptive design professional and a member of our Vancouver team. Richard holds a Bachelor’s in Environmental Design and is currently pursuing his Master’s of Architecture at the University of British Columbia. Richard’s strengths lie in his strong visual sense and his imaginative approach to design.

Richard credits his upbringing in the small town of Cache Creek, B.C., as the primary inspiration for his community-minded design ethos. “I always knew I was interested in design,” he says. “Small communities face challenges that I want to explore through architecture.” After living in the Yukon for over a year, Richard is excited to continue this inquiry in the northernmost areas of Canada. “I want to contribute in the Arctic where these difficulties are amplified.”

Outside of work, Richard serves as the President of the Architecture Union of Students at the University of British Columbia. He also enjoys cycling, photography, and travelling.
