We’re Still Chasing Net Zero!
Earlier this year, the Sustainable Buildings Consortium (Manasc Isaac’s non-profit initiative that advocates for green buildings) and Green Energy Futures collaborated on a web series called Chasing Net Zero. The series was an exciting opportunity to check out our city’s net-zero homes: ultra-sustainable structures that create as much energy as they consume over the course of a year. Through videos, blog posts and podcasts, we met the personalities and minds of Edmonton net-zero pioneers and champions, getting a peek inside their homes as well as the inside scoop on designing for net-zero!
Chasing Net Zero was a huge success and in response to the public’s interest in these projects, we put together a panel event with several of the series’ participants. The result was a dynamic conversation about green building, design strategies, and technology.
A massive thanks to our panelists and supporters, as well as 180 attendees who made the night so special. Stay tuned for video clips from the panel event, and more net-zero news as Manasc Isaac continues work on the very first net-zero commercial building in Alberta, the Mosaic Centre for Conscious Community and Commerce.
