Hunting for Art at MacEwan

The Manasc Isaac team was excited to hear that local artist Brenda Draney will produce a permanent art exhibit to grace the atrium of the MacEwan University Centre for Arts and Culture.

After spending two years studying a trapper along his trapline, Draney will weave her own bronze trapline through the atrium, referencing “the path of the ones who’ve walked before,” according to the artist.

We can’t wait to see this installation appear in the space, and will be staying tuned for more information about Draney’s journey. Check out the Edmonton Journal for more information about the artist and the exhibition.
