On Healing Architecture

Manasc Isaac's mission has always centred on community-building, and part of this work is creating spaces for healing. To this end, a key initiative in our office for 2019 is an increased focus on architecture for health and healing. Our own Carey van der Zalm is leading this initiative. Her passion for healing architecture, and experience across design, phenomenology and Shamanism, inspires her to create spaces that integrate healing on all layers and levels of their occupants.

Carey traveled to Taliesen West in Arizona last month, to present at the Architecture, Culture, and Spirituality Forum, on the subject of Healing Architecture: Experiencing Continuity of ‘The One.’ Her presentation proposes healing architecture as a way of creating a culture of consciousness.
