Reimagined Branches at Nuit Blanche
Following September 9, 2014’s incredible snowstorm in Calgary, trees had branches that buckled under the weight of the snow, leaving the city a mess and many people re-branding the month “Snowtember.”
While everyone else saw chaos and destruction, Lindsay at our Calgary studio Reimagine Interiors by Manasc Isaac saw potential. Partnering with the City of Calgary, she was able to access some of the damaged branches and turn them into something beautiful for Nuit Blanche Calgary, a downtown late-night art festival.
The project included covering the branches in metallic paints and arranging them artfully in a public art installation that proves that great opportunities can come out of bad situations! The installations will remain in the MuniBuilding Plaza until Friday, September 26 so be sure to check them out!
