Civil Engineering Lead

Originally from Finland, Augustino joined the Reimagine team in 2026 as Civil Engineering Lead. With more than 20 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, construction, project management, and quality assurance, Augustino has led the planning, design, coordination, and delivery of municipal, institutional, industrial, renewable-energy, and community infrastructure projects across Canada and internationally. He is registered as a professional engineer in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.

Augustino believes that thoughtful design can transform ideas into functional, resilient, and welcoming places. As a civil engineer, he enjoys contributing the technical insight needed to bring an architectural vision to life while ensuring that each project responds effectively to its site, users, and surrounding community.

As Civil Engineering Lead, Augustino provides early technical direction and maintains direct supervision and control of the civil design. His expertise includes site development, grading and earthworks, stormwater management, water and sanitary servicing, roads and parking, utility coordination, constructability reviews, technical specifications, tender support, construction administration, and project closeout. He establishes the governing criteria, design methodology, infrastructure sizing inputs, approval strategy, and key engineering decisions, while guiding CAD and design production by the civil technologist. Along the way, he enjoys solving complex problems and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, sustainable solutions.
