Kihcihkaw askî Honoured with Edmonton Urban Design Award

Canada's first urban Indigenous ceremonial site, kihcihkaw askî, has been honoured at the 2023 Edmonton Urban Design Awards! It received an Award of Merit in the Civic Design category.

Nestled in the heart of the River Valley, kihcihkaw askî provides a space for all local Indigenous peoples to practice ceremony, education and community. We are humbled to have been a part of this project, and we hope that it sets a new standard for urban centres across the country.
