HISTORY
The Yellowbird Family Clinic serves a diverse patient demographic from their location in southeast Edmonton. A small clinic of about ten full-time staff, they offer personalized and discreet family health services and primary care, connecting patients with specialists and helping them to get the medical attention and quality care that they deserve.
VISION
The new Clinic is a bright, peaceful, and inclusive space. The smooth flow and efficiency of the layout and the space's natural lighting conveys the clinic’s professionalism and warmth, while also maintaining privacy and discretion for each patient visit.
PEACEFUL AND PROFESSIONAL
The space’s compact layout offers each physician two exam rooms to maximize efficiency and shorten patients’ wait times. In the communal doctor’s pit, each physician has a private work and storage area, while a mezzanine lunch area above the clinic provides an opportunity for staff to rest and recharge. This sustainable clinic is flooded with natural daylight, thanks to the generous use of skylights, and features quiet and effective ventilation throughout. The interior’s bright, inviting colours and nature-derived imagery welcome visitors to the clinic and create a soothing, pleasant environment for patients and staff.
