Intern Architect, OAA

Born in England and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Marilyn moved to Edmonton to be closer to family and to join the Reimagine team!

As a 7 year old, fascinated by the way that spaces impact people, Marilyn told her mother that she wanted to be an architect when she grew up. She went on to earn her master’s degree at the McEwen School of Architecture at Laurentian University, and today she continues to pursue her ambition to understand the transformative power of architecture and design.

At Reimagine, Marilyn finds joy in bringing concepts into tangible and concrete outcomes, and navigating the iterative process of refinement, justifying each design decision along the way. She loves to see the design sharpen under each round of scrutiny.

A lifelong Francophile, Marilyn enjoys exploring French culture and language. Having travelled and lived around the world from a young age, she’s an avid traveller; each adventure is a new opportunity to indulge her curiosity about architecture and the human experience.
