Blue Lake Centre has long been an important cultural landscape. In 2019, the Centre was leased to Yellowhead Tribal College and used as a land-based teaching site for the College's students and Elders.
The vision is to enrich this important site and develop a cultural education centre for the Yellowhead Tribal Council Elders and Youth, to create opportunities through
Yellowhead Tribal College's vision is to transform the existing Blue Lake Centre to become a fully integrative and supportive place for Indigenous families; to heal, to remember, to learn, and to create a thriving future, for generations to come.
Blue Lake Centre’s indoor spaces and outdoor places, provide solutions based healing through:
