HISTORY
Vermilion is located at the intersection of Highway 41 and Highway 16, 192 kilometres east of Edmonton. The town of Vermilion is strongly rooted in the agricultural tradition and a large proportion of the local population is directly or indirectly employed by Lakeland College, and as such, the campus has become the heart of the town providing education, employment and recreational facilities for local and regional communities.
VISION
It is obvious that the students and staff at Lakeland College take pride in their school. The campus, though aging, is comfortable and well-maintained. Our Masterplan project updates the school’s essential mechanical and electrical systems, modernizes its aesthetics and learning environments and technologies, and revitalizes the campus into a modern, sustainable, flexible, and welcoming environment that will continue the College’s tradition of excellence.
